Karnataka: Deputy CM DK trapped on a scooty breaking the traffic rules 34 times

Bengaluru: Scooty Ride became a problem for Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar. On Tuesday, DK Shivkumar used Scooty during the inspection of the Hebbal flyover loop, a total traffic fine of Rs 18,500 was pending. On August 5, Shivkumar posted a video on X in which he was seen driving a Honda Dio with the KA04 JZ2087 registration number.

Scooty broke traffic rules 34 times

The deputy CM wrote on X, “Under our government’s commitment to make better Bengaluru, Hebbal flyover loop is about to open, which will ensure easy and fast traffic.” On investigation on the Karnataka State Police (KSP) app, it was found that 34 traffic violations were pending on the scooter, which was fined Rs 18,500. The opposition JDS raised the issue on X and criticized the Deputy Chief Minister for driving a vehicle with such a large amount of money. After this, the worker who had this vehicle and went to the police station immediately filled this amount of fine.

Challan was cut about these things

According to the information, this gearless scooter with the license plate number (ka 04 jz 2087), Bhuvaneshwarinagar in RT Nagar is registered in the name of Bubzan, son of Nenne Sub S. The list of 34 crimes includes talking on mobile phones while driving, breaking traffic signal, wrong parking and riding a bike without helmet. The JD (S) party targeted Shivkumar and pointed to the outstanding fine while sharing his video behind the scooter.

A senior traffic police officer said that during the inspection, half the helmets worn by Shivkumar and the person behind him are illegal. However, we are not punishing the public for wearing half a helmet, so we will not impose a fine for half a helmet on Shivkumar and the person sitting behind him. But yes, whenever we find a half -helmet drivers, we request them not to use them.
