A person who threatens to keep a bomb in the train arrested

Karnataka Express Bomb Threat: A person who threatened to keep a bomb in the Karnataka Express train has been arrested. According to the information received from the railway police, on 11 May 2025, at around 1:10 pm, Kalburgi District Control Room received a call from an unknown person, who claimed that the bomb was kept in Karnataka Express train number 12628. After this threat, the railway administration immediately got into action.

Passengers were searched by the train

As soon as Karnataka Express (train number 12628) reached Wadi railway station at around 1:30 pm. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) carried out a intensive search operation by taking out the passengers safely. After hours of searching, no suspicious item was found in the train, which breathed a sigh of relief by the authorities and passengers.

Arrested after identifying suspect

Meanwhile, the police identified the suspect who threatened the bomb and took him into custody. The arrested accused has been identified as 33 -year -old Deep Singh, who hails from Uttar Pradesh and works as a laborer.

Threatened to spread panic in public

Initial investigation has revealed that suspected Deep Singh had deliberately made a call with his mobile phone with the intention of spreading fear and panic and disturbing public peace. After this act, a case was registered against him at Wadi Railway Police Station under Section 351 (4) (reporting false threat) and 353 (1) (B) (attack or usage of criminal force) to prevent the public servant). The police is now trying to find out why Deep Singh did this?
