Karnataka HC reached RCB in stampede case, special request from court in stampede case

The IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday approached the Karnataka High Court in the stampede case. The RCB has filed a petition in the court requesting to dismiss the criminal case filed against him in the M Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede scandal.
11 people were killed
11 people were killed in this stampede case. DNA Entertainment Network Pvt Ltd, a company organizing the ceremony at the stadium to celebrate RCB’s victory in the IPL final, has also filed a separate petition challenging the FIR lodged against them.
Only limited passes available
RCB owner Royal Challengers Sports Limited (RCSL) has argued that he has been incorrectly implicated in the case. According to the petition, RCSL claimed that it clearly stated on social media that only limited passes were available.
Gate opened at 3 pm
He also said that prior registration was also mandatory for free pass admission. He alleged that the gate of the stadium, which should have opened at 1:45 pm, was actually opened at three o’clock in the afternoon, which increased the crowd.
Police failed in mob management-RCB
According to the company, the incident occurred due to police failure in mob management. The case is expected to be heard by the High Court on Monday afternoon. (With language input)
