Indian railway Has started the indigenous railway safety system Kavach 4.0 on the Mathura-Kota section of the Delhi-Mumbai route, which has been very busy. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave this information. Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Railway has taken inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘self-sufficient India’ point of view, the Kavach Automotic Train Safety System has been indigenously design, development and manufacturing. Kavach 4.0 is a technology-intensive. It was attached in July 2024 by Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO).

Kota-Mathura section has been done in a very short time

The Railway Minister said that it took 20 to 30 years for many developed countries of the world to develop and establish train safety systems. Kota-Mathura section has been commissioned in a very short time commissioning. This is a very big achievement. In the last 60 years after independence, International Standard Advanced Train Safety System was not installed in the country. To ensure the safety of trains and passengers, the armor system has recently been commissioned.

Preparation to implement Kavach 4.0 on different routes across the country

Kavach is an indigenously developed rail safety system. It is designed to prevent accidents by monitoring and controlling the speed of trains. Indian Railways is preparing to implement the armor 4.0 on different routes across the country in a short period of 6 years. More than 30,000 people have already been trained for the armor system. Loco pilots help to maintain train speed by applying brakes of Indian Railways. Even in a low visibility like fog, loco pilots will not be seen out of the cabin for signals. Pilots can check the information on the dashboard inside the cabin.
