Kavad Yatra 2025: UP government tightens, Shiva devotees will be tampered with Kavad expensive
Kavad yatra 2025: The Uttar Pradesh government has become completely alert and active over the Kavad Yatra, which begins in the month of Sawan. Due to the possibility of more than 4 crore devotees involved in Kavad Yatra, UP DGP and Principal Secretary took a meeting of officials from 5 State Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh in Meerut Commissionerate on Tuesday. Keeping in mind the inundation of Shiva devotees and the safety of the devotees, the Chief Secretary of the state Manoj Kumar Singh and DGP Rajiv Krishna issued important guidelines to the officials of all departments in the high-level review meeting, examining the preparations for the Kavad Yatra.Also Read: Kavad Yatra will start with Shravan, know what to do and what not to do
UP Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh said that this time there is a possibility of more Kavadis coming than last year. Last year, around 4 crore Kavad passengers came, while this year the number is expected to be more. He said that 1 inspector and 6 policemen will be deployed every kilometer on Kavad road so that there is no lapse in the security system.
Cleanliness and food arrangements: The administration has given instructions to ensure cleanliness and purity in camps, dhabas and hotels. The responsibility of the Food Safety Department has been decided that only pure vegetarian food should be served at all places. Through the QR code, complete information about the hotel and dhaba can be obtained, while the Food Department has also got the customer satisfaction form on hotels and dhabas. All hotels, dhaba operators and camp organizers will be trained on cleanliness and food quality.
DJ and Kavad’s height control: DGP Rajiv Krishna told the media that Kavad can take Shiva devotee according to the standard. No Kavad should be 10 feet high and wide from 12 feet. The sound range of DJ will not exceed 75 decibels. DJs and Kavad are integrated in the middle of Roorkee to Muzaffarnagar, so special vigilance will be taken there. Electricity and Canal system: In Kavad Yatra, the electricity department has been instructed to tighten the wires on the entire route, the pillars should not be bent, the electric wires do not hang down and the transformers should be completely covered. The irrigation department has been asked to release a balanced amount of water in the canals. Only 25 km of work is left out of the length of 700 km of Kavad road, which will be completed in the next 2-3 days. NDRF divers and boats will be provided at Gangahar. If there is an accident while bathing with a kanwadia, it can be saved.
Digital surveillance and coordination: A WhatsApp group has been formed for coordination between Uttar Pradesh and various states, through which mob control and necessary information will be shared immediately. Apart from this, instructions have been given to the railway officials not to travel on the roof of the Kavadia train.
Respect and strict monitoring of religious spirit: The Chief Secretary said in the press conference that strict action will be taken against those who hurt religious sentiments. If someone seduces someone by tampering with Kavad, he will not be spared at any cost. The DGP also said that there is a competition on the dak kavad by playing music in a loud sound and Kavad is a religious journey and not any competition.
Most of the postal kavadis bring big DJs from Haryana and competeWhich sometimes becomes a cause of trouble, so coordination has been made by contacting Haryana, Uttarakhand and other states. During the Kavad Yatra, full care will be taken for crowd control, convenience of devotees, safety and devotion. The aim of the state government is that the Kavad Yatra should be done in a peaceful, safe and well -organized manner.
