Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Kedarnath Dham

The doors of Kedarnath Dham have been opened to devotees since May 2 (Friday). Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also reached Kedarnath Dham on the first day. Here he saw Lord Bholenath and also met the devotees who reached here on the first day. Pushkar Singh reached Shri Kedarnath Dham before the doors of Dhami Dham opened. He also talked to the devotees present here to visit the first day. Every year, due to snowfall in cold weather, the doors of Kedarnath Dham are closed and the doors are opened again in summer. After six months in winter, the doors of Kedarnath Dham were re-opened to the devotees on Friday morning and on this occasion this temple in the Himalayas was decorated with 108 quintals of various types of flowers called from India and abroad.

After opening the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham, cultural programs were organized in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. On this occasion, wreaths were also done on the devotees.

More than 150 volunteers worked day and night to decorate the temple and each of them considers himself an opportunity to serve Lord Shiva. Kedarnath Dham is located at a height of more than 11,000 feet above sea level in Rudraprayag district. Srijal Vyas, a resident of Vadodara in Gujarat, who is leading the team of volunteers who decorate the temple, said that 54 types of flowers including roses and marigold have been used for decoration. He informed that these flowers have been brought from Nepal, Thailand and Sri Lanka besides Delhi, Kashmir, Pune, Kolkata and Patna. Vyas reported that marigold flowers are specially brought from a particular village in Kolkata, as the local variety does not hurry quickly and remains fresh for 10-15 days on an average.

Garhwal Rifles band played devotional tunes

The band of Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army played devotional tunes when the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham were opened to the devotees. Devotees who arrived for the temple decoration said, “We had a lot of trouble in coming here.” Our train was canceled and many of us had to come by airplane. In the absence of horses, we had to face difficulties in bringing flowers to so many heights to decorate the temple. “Vyas said,” But we are all very happy to have the opportunity to serve our beloved God. “Other members of his team also expressed similar feelings. Another member Tapan Desai said, “This is a lifetime experience. Getting an opportunity to decorate the temple of Lord Shiva is a rare blessing. My wife and my 10-year-old son have also come with me. ”

Devotees arrived despite poor health

Desai said, “Despite health deteriorating, my wife has come here to serve God. I am heart grateful to Shreejal Bhai to give such an opportunity. ”Vyas said that he is decorating Lord Kedarnath’s house as if we decorate our house for marriage. 35 artists from West Bengal have also helped in the beautification of the temple. During the winter, the idol of Lord Shiva, which is kept in the Omkareshwar temple of Ukhimath, will leave from Gaurikund in a palanquin adorned with flowers and reach Kedarnath Dham by evening. Bhimashankar Linga, the chief priest of the Kedarnath temple, said that the doors of the temple will be opened for the devotees at seven in the morning on Friday. He said that preparations for opening the temple will be started from six o’clock in the morning.

Grand Aarti will be held at the confluence of Mandakini and Saraswati

Vijay Thapliyal, Chief Officer of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, told here that this time devotees will get a new thing in Kedarnath. He said that this time on the lines of Ganga Aarti to be held in Kashi, Haridwar and Rishikesh, ‘Bhavya Aarti’ will be started at the confluence of Mandakini and Saraswati here. He said that all arrangements have been made for Aarti. He said that ramps have been built on three sides at the confluence of both rivers, so that devotees can visit him. Thapliyal said that the idol of Nandi located in front of the temple and the statue of Adi Shankaracharya, built near the temple, have also been decorated with flowers this time.
