Devotees arrive at Kedarnath temple to worship
The famous Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand has once again been hit by the outbreak of nature. The torrential rains, which started late on the night of 14 June, have badly affected the Kedarnath Dham Yatra. Due to the sudden boom in a small river near Junglechatti, heavy debris and stone falling on the walking road to Kedarnath was completely damaged.
Kedarnath Dham route damaged
According to information received from the Rudraprayag police, a large amount of debris and rocks have fallen on foot due to the rise of Gadre (small river) in the jungle area. Rudraprayag police said, “The route to Kedarnath Dham has been damaged due to debris and stone falling in the donkey near Junglechatti. Due to this, the route from Sonprayag to Kedarnath Dham has been postponed for further orders.” The police have also assured that effective security is being ensured by the devotees who had left for Kedarnath Dham before the road was damaged.
Rudraprayag police appeal to devotees
While sharing this information through social media, the Rudraprayag police has appealed to the devotees to stay safe and stay in nearby hotels, Dharamshalas or safe places. The police also said that the safety of the devotees who were already traveling on the road are being ensured. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams are actively employed to bring them back or bring them back. The police have urged the people to postpone the walk from Sonprayag to Kedarnath Dham till advance orders. He informed that despite the damaged route, safety of devotees already traveling is being ensured.
7 people killed in helicopter accident
Meanwhile, the helicopter services on Chardham Yatra route were suspended for two days after the helicopter accident in Rudraprayag district in the early hours of Sunday. In this helicopter accident, 7 passengers died badly, including a girl.
