However, 40 devotees trapped near the Sonprayag landslide area were successfully rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).

The continuous rains in Uttarakhand have also disrupted power supply in many areas. Water supply has been affected in many parts. In the past, the cloud was also torn near Barkot.

Kedarnath Yatra is an important pilgrimage of Hinduism, which is done up to the Kedarnath temple located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is part of the Char Dham Yatra (Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath). Kedarnath Temple is located at an altitude of 3,583 meters in the lap of the Himalayas and is considered one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
