However, 40 devotees trapped near the Sonprayag landslide area were successfully rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
The continuous rains in Uttarakhand have also disrupted power supply in many areas. Water supply has been affected in many parts. In the past, the cloud was also torn near Barkot.

Kedarnath Temple is located at an altitude of 3,583 meters in the lap of the Himalayas and is considered one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
