Kesari Chapter 2 accused of stealing the dialog, Yahya Butwala said- it cannot be called a coincidence
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ has been in discussion since its release. The story of the film is based on the battle fought in the court after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film stars Ananya Pandey and R Madhavan in the lead roles along with Akshay.
‘Kesari Chapter 2’ is getting good response at the box office. But now this film is engulfed in controversies. Famous YouTuber and poet Yahya Butwala have accused the film’s makers of literary theft. He has accused the makers of copying the lines of poetry written on his Jallianwala Bagh without permission.
Yahwa has shared a video of the dialogue spoken by Ananya Pandey in his poetry and film. In the video, Yahwa himself is seen singing poetry and also a scene of the film, in which Ananya speaks almost the same line. According to him, this equality is so accurate that it cannot be called a coincidence.
Yahwa wrote, Nisar Patel sent me a clip from the film Kesari 2 4 days ago, whose dialogue he had copied from my poem. The name of the film is Jallianwala Bagh. I uploaded this poem 5 years ago on Unesepoetry YouTube channel. There are two clips here and honestly, it is a clear copy-paste.
Yahya said, it is not that he has not even tried to hide it, meaning it has also raised a word like whisper. Yes, people can get thoughts, people can think like this, but writing the same lines on any one subject is nothing but a coincidence.
Criticizing the writer of the film, Yahwa wrote, “As a writer, the worst work with a fellow writer can be done to pick up his content and use it without giving him credit.” I think dialogue writer Sumit Saxena has done the same here.
