Kia has recorded its fourth highest monthly sales in the domestic market with 24,351 units in October 2023

Kia India today announced that it has recorded its fourth highest monthly sales in the domestic market with 24,351 units in the month of October 2023. This was helped by good demand during this festive season and strong growth recorded by the recently launched facelifted Seltos midsize SUV. The company had sold 23,323 units in the same period last year, which is an increase of 4.41 percent on an annual basis.

The Kia Seltos facelift was introduced a few months ago, priced between Rs 10.90 lakh and Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s no secret that the Seltos has been a key contributor to Kia’s success in India, with sales of over 5 lakh units. Kia Seltos stood first with a total of 12,362 units, while Sonet sold a total of 6,493 units. Whereas 5,355 units of Carens and 141 units of EV6 electric crossover have been sold.

Speaking about the sales performance, Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head, Sales and Marketing, Kia India, said, “During the festive season, the positive attitude of our customers helped us achieve the fourth highest ever monthly sales in India. have helped. The fact that our products like Seltos, Sonet and Carensa continue to dominate their respective segments despite many new launches due to competition is a great achievement. We are working towards maintaining this momentum in the coming months as well.”

In the current calendar year (period January to October 2023), Kia India has recorded sales of 2,19,702 units and Seltos contributed majorly to the total volume with 83,250 units. It was followed by Sonet compact SUV with 73,333 units, while Carens contributed a total of 60,817 units.

Kia began mass production in August 2019 and has an annual production capacity of three lakh units. It has completed over one million dispatches from its Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh, including over 7.5 lakh units for the domestic market and around 2.5 lakh units for exports. Kia has a vast sales network comprising 432 touchpoints across 213 cities.

Kia will launch the new version of Sonet in early 2024. The company has already confirmed the launch of three new products next year. The new generation Carnival will likely be one of them and it will replace the third generation Carnival, which was discontinued in India a few months ago.
