People of the minority Hindu community have protested against the oppression of minor girls. After this, the police have registered an FIR based on the complaint of the victim families. The complaint states that 3 minor girls of the Hindu community have been abducted from Sanghar district of Sindh province on 13 July. After this, he was forcibly converted and married to Muslim people.
Hindu girls appeared before the court
However, the three girls appeared before the Hyderabad bench of Sindh High Court on Wednesday and they voluntarily converted to convert and admitted to marrying Muslim youths. The girls appeared in court with their husbands.
What did experts say on the matter?
Sindh Human Rights Commission Chairman Iqbal Ahmed has written a letter to senior police officers regarding the incident and demanded a fair and independent inquiry into the case. He said- “If girls prove to be minors, as their parents have claimed, their weddings will come under the Sindh Child Marriage Prevention Act, 2013.” At the same time, Shiva Kachi, president of an organization associated with the Hindu community, said that the incidents of kidnapping of Hindu girls, forced conversion and their marriage to Muslim men have become a problem in Sindh region.
