China is organizing a military parade on the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. According to China’s official news agency ‘Xinhua’, 26 foreign leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the parade. Assistant Foreign Minister Hong Lei has been quoted as saying that Kim will attend the ‘Victory Day celebrations of China’ on September 3.
Xi Jinping has invited
North Korea’s official news agency has confirmed that Kim will go to China to attend the 80th anniversary celebrations of the end of World War II at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The agency did not give any more information about when Kim would leave North Korea and how long will it stay in China. No leader from the US or the leading Western European countries is expected to arrive in the parade, as he has differences with Putin over the war in Ukraine. If Kim comes to Beijing, this will be his first visit to China after 2019.
