KL Rahul: The much-awaited Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will start from November 22. The Indian squad for this has been announced a long time ago. KL Rahul, who showed disappointing performance in the home Test series against Bangladesh and New Zealand, has also been given a place in Team India by the selectors. However, it is quite difficult to include him in the playing eleven. In his place, Sanju Samson’s disciple can be seen batting in the middle order.

Will KL Rahul get a chance?

After flopping against New Zealand and Bangladesh, KL Rahul was sent to play an unofficial Test series against Australia A before the start of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Here he was given the role of opening batting, so that he could open the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal in the absence of captain Rohit Sharma in the first test. But Rahul has flopped miserably.

In the first innings of the match being played at MCG, KL scored 4 runs, while in the second innings also they ended up scoring 10 runs. Not only this, his partner Abhimanyu Easwaran has also proved unsuccessful.

Indian batsmen flopped

Abhimanyu Easwaran, another contender to replace Rohit Sharma, also looks helpless on Australian soil. He could play innings of 7 and 12 runs in the first unofficial test, whereas in the second match too, he got out for 17 runs in the first innings and without opening the account in the second innings. But in these difficult circumstances, Dhruv Jurel has won everyone’s hearts by showing amazing performance.

Sanju’s disciple will get a chance

Along with KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel was also sent to play the unofficial Test series against Australia A. Dhruv took full advantage of this opportunity and showed a brilliant performance. He faced the Kangaroo bowlers very strongly on the fast and bouncy pitch of Melbourne.

In the first innings, he scored 80 runs with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes on 186 balls, while in the second inning he scored 68 runs with the help of 5 fours on 122 balls. In such a situation, he can be given a chance to bat at number 6 in place of KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan who are struggling with poor form.
