Robin Uthappa starts starting on June 20 against England Test seriesHe has chosen his favorite Indian playing XI for the first match. In the opening, he kept KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal, while Shubman Gill has been sent to number four. The special thing is that he dropped Kuldeep Yadav and chose Jadeja as the only spinner.

Former Team India cricketer Robin Uthappa has described his favorite playing before the first Test to be played against England in Hadingley, Leeds. During the conversation in Star Sports show ‘Game Plan’, Uthappa said that he wanted a strong start, so he chose KL Rahul as an opener.

Uthappa said, “Rahul has batted brilliantly in Australia and England, so I would like to see him opening again. Jaiswal will open with him.” At number three, Uthappa kept technically strong Sai Sudarshan and at number four to Shubman Gill. At number five, he gave a place to Karun Nair, who was making a comeback, who recently scored a double century against England Lions. Rishabh Pant is included at number six.

As an all -rounder, Uthappa preferred Nitish Kumar Reddy over Shardul Thakur and gave only Ravindra Jadeja a chance in the spin department. He said, “Nitish is a truly fast bowler all-rounder who will give the team a fourth pace option. While Jadeja has been scoring runs in England and can contribute to spin as well as batting.”

Uthappa has chosen Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and famous Krishna in his team as fast bowlers. However, keeping Kuldeep Yadav out of the team was a bit shocking. In the absence of Ashwin, it was believed that Kuldeep would surely get a chance. He has played only 13 Tests so far and has taken 56 wickets, so this selection can surprise many fans and experts.
