The Union Cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that 2 projects were approved in the meeting. This includes Greenfield Airport in Kota, Rajasthan and Cuttack-Bhubaneswar 6 lane ring road in Odisha.
Vaishnav said that the first project is of Greenfield Airport in Kota-Bundi, Rajasthan, which will be estimated at Rs 1507 crore. The second project is 110.875 km long and 6-lane Cuttack-Bhuvaneshwar Capital Ring Road in Odisha. About 8307.74 crore rupees will be spent on its construction.
Earlier, a cabinet meeting was held on August 12 under the chairmanship of PM Modi. A total of Rs 18,541 crore projects have been approved. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that 4 new semiconductor projects were approved in the meeting.
He said that 6 projects are already approved and today 4 new projects have been approved. Under this, plants will be set up in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab, for which Rs 4,594 crore will be invested. This will give a boost to domestic chip production, packaging and advanced materials, which will give jobs to two thousand people.
Vaishnav said that the Union Cabinet has approved Phase-1 B of the Lucknow Metro Rail Project of 11.165 km in length. Under this, 12 metro stations will be built and for which approval of Rs 5,801 crore has been given. Metro is in great need in Lucknow.
The Union Minister said that India is committed to clean development and clean energy. Therefore, 700 MW Tato II Hydro Electric Project has been approved in Shi Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh with an investment of Rs 8,146 crore. It will take about 72 months to complete.
August 8- Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries will continue to get subsidy, 5 decisions
A cabinet meeting was held on 8 August under the chairmanship of PM Modi. Vaishnav had said that 5 important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting. A total of ₹ 52,667 crore funds/projects have been approved for this.
Vaishnav had said that the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will also be subsidized in 2025-26, for which ₹ 12,060 crore has been sanctioned. He said that the PM Ujjwala scheme has been appreciated globally for inclusive development (development for all). Its purpose is to change people’s lives.
The Railway Minister informed that it has been decided in the meeting that public sector oil companies will be given compensation of ₹ 30,000 crore to compensate the domestic LPG. At the same time, the Merite Scheme will be given ₹ 4,200 crore help to improve technical education.
