KPL 2025: Samson won the team by holding half a century, but Sanju’s batting did not come
The second season of Kerala Cricket League (KPL) has started and when Kochi Blue Tigers team was playing in the second match of the tournament, everyone’s eyes were on Sanju Samson but their batting did not come. However, due to Samson’s stormy half -century, Kochi’s team won the match easily.
Now you must be thinking that if Sanju’s batting did not come, then how did Samson hit a half -century, then let us tell that here we are talking about Sanju’s brother Sally Samson who showed the bat in the victory of his team Kochi Blue Tigers. Not only this, this all -rounder also bowled two overs with the ball and gave just 8 runs without taking wickets.
While bowling first, Kochi’s team captained by Sally performed brilliantly and never allowed Trivandrum Royals to gain momentum in their innings. Medium -speed bowler Akhil Sathr bowled brilliantly and took three wickets for just 13 runs in his four overs. Another right -arm fast bowler Muhammad Aashiq also took three wickets for Kochi, causing Trivandrum’s team to pile up 97 runs in 20 overs.
Only 98 runs were required to win, it was expected that Sanju would bat in the top order and win by chasing the target. But surprisingly, he did not even bat, but another Samson, Sally, performed brilliantly with the bat. Sally came to bat when his team lost his second wicket at the end of the fourth over. He played a very easy innings as soon as he came to the crease and did not spend much longer chasing the target with low -score. Sally hit five fours and three sixes in her innings.
Sanju’s coming to the middle order in this match meant that perhaps he has received a message from the Indian team management that he is also seeing him in the Middle Order in the Asia Cup 2025.
