The Haifa port operated by the Adani Group has not suffered any major damage despite Iran’s Missile attack on the Haifa port of Israel late on Saturday night and the surrounding oil refinery. According to the report of Business Standard and PTI, the operation of the port is completely normal. However, in view of the increasing tension in the region, the situation between Israel and Iran remains an eye on the international community.

News agency PTI quoted its sources as saying that the Port has not been harmed by the Port its operation due to the Iranian ballistic missile attack. Sources said the Haifa port is working normally. He said that 8 ships were handling goods on Sunday. There are about 700 employees in the port.
According to the report, the attack was carried out in response to Israel’s ‘Operation Rising Lion’, in which several top military officers, scientists and citizens were killed in the attack on Tehran and other Iranian military bases. Some scarce (bomb pieces) fell on the chemical terminal of Haifa Port and the nearby oil refinery was also targeted, but no casualties.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited, which has a 70% stake of Haifa Port, reported that all activities at the port are continuing uninterruptedly. Currently there are 8 ships on the port and loading-unloading of goods is normally happening. The piece of an interceptor missile fell into the port ‘Kishan West’ area of the port, but it did not affect the operation.
Haifa Port handles more than 30% of the total imports of Israel and is considered an important trading center in the country. The Port was acquired by the Adani Group in 2021. Experts say that despite this attack, the smooth operation of the port is a positive sign for the Indo-Israeli trading relations.
