A military camp in Sikkim at 7 pm on Sunday evening was hit by landslide after heavy rains. In this, 3 soldiers were killed, whose bodies have been recovered. Four people have been evacuated alive from the rubble. He has suffered minor injuries. Six soldiers are still missing. Search operation continues

The army informed about the incident on Monday and said that the soldiers whose bodies have been found have been identified as Havildar Lakhbinder Singh, Lance Nayak Manish Thakur and Porter Abhishek Lakhada. On the other hand, more than one thousand tourists stranded from May 30 in Lachen and Lachung, Sikkim, were also rescued today.

The northeastern states including Sikkim have been receiving heavy rainfall for the last 4 days. So far 37 people have lost their lives in floods and landslide incidents due to rain. This includes 10 deaths in Assam, 9 in Arunachal Pradesh, 5 in Mizoram and 6 in Meghalaya.

After a sudden flood in the Teesta river after a cloudburst in Sikkim, 18 people died. At least 98 people went missing, including 22 army personnel. Nothing was known about them.

The Indian Army, Air Force and Assam Rifles personnel have been deployed in the northeastern states for relief and rescue. More than 3.64 lakh people in Assam have been affected by floods. 10 major rivers, including Brahmaputra and Barak, are flowing above the danger mark.

More than 19,000 people have been affected by the floods in Manipur. 3,365 houses have been damaged. More than 10 thousand people are affected by floods in Tripura. All schools have been ordered to be closed on June 2 due to heavy rains in Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram. Since May 30, there have been 211 incidents of landslide in the state.

Here, there is rain alert in 30 districts of Rajasthan and 50 districts of Madhya Pradesh. A 60-year-old woman died after a house collapsed due to strong thunderstorms on Sunday evening in Vaishali, Bihar. There is a warning of thunderstorms in 9 districts of the state.
