Peshawar: There was a deadly explosion on Saturday in Lucky Marwat district of Pakistan’s disturbed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The blast took place in an old mortar shell. In the incident, 5 children died and 12 others were injured. This information has been given by Pakistan Police.
Children took mortar shell from the hills to the village
The accident occurred when a group of children found an unnecessary mortar shell in the hills and brought it to their village. According to the police, those children were unaware that he was a bomb and the shell exploded while playing. Five children died on the spot in the blast. While 12 others were injured.
Many children are in critical condition
After the blast, the rescue teams immediately reached the spot and the dead and the injured were rushed to the nearby City Hospital. According to the hospital spokesperson, the condition of many of the injured children remains critical. This accident has spread an atmosphere of panic in the area. (PTI)
