Leaving OTT and then the mistake of the cinemas forgive
Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao and Vamika Gabbi’s film ‘Bhoom Logs Maid’ is surrounded by difficulties. The film was scheduled to release in theaters on 9 May. But in view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, the makers decided to release it directly on OTT.
‘Bhool omoing’ was going to premiere on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on 16 May. After this, PVR cinema filed a case of Rs 60 crore on Dinesh Vijan’s production house ‘Madock Films’. He said that he was financially damaged due to the sudden cancellation of the film.
PVR had also filed a case against the production house to stop the film’s OTT release. After this, the Bombay High Court stopped the OTT release of this movie of production house Madock Films. At the same time, this film is going to be released again in theaters.
In this case, PVR Iinox has withdrawn its demand for compensation of Rs 60 crore. Rajkummar Rao’s film will now be released in theaters on May 23, 2025. Madock Films is planning to resume its marketing campaign from May 15.
It is being told that according to the court directive, this film of Rajkumar Rao will be released on Prime Video on 6 June 2025 only two weeks later. In such a situation, PVR Einox has got only two weeks of earning from this film in theaters.
