He said, ‘I used to sit on the ground and eat which I think is the best way to eat. My mother used to cook and I used to eat on the ground. Those memories have not gone from my mind. I used to sleep on the floor of that room. I saw a snake in the corner of that room. Once a rat had bitten me and my mother. ‘
Poverty made Bollywood star
Even after becoming a successful film star, Jackie still feels deeply connected with his old house. In an interview to Vicky Lalwani, the ‘Rangeela’ actor revealed that he had tried to buy his room back in Chawl. However, the landlord refused. He told, ‘I am trying, but they are not giving me back. He feels that if he gives me, I will not run away with it. ‘ Now four people live there. I told him that I will give as much as they are giving four people. But, he does not want to give….
