Litton Das Record: Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Litton Das has achieved a special place in Test cricket. In the Colombo Test against Sri Lanka, he has done such a feat which was only in the name of Mushfiqur Rahim. This achievement of Litton has brought him to the top of a particular list of Bangladesh’s Test cricket history.

Litton Das has taken a big record in the second Test in Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh being played in Colombo. He has become the most successful wicketkeeper in Bangladesh, breaking the record of 113 victims of Mushfiqur Rahim in Test cricket. Litton got 114 hunting (99 catches, 15 stumpings) as soon as Chandimal caught a catch.

The special thing is that Litton showed this feat in only 65 innings, while Mushfiqur had 99 innings in it. Litton Das started wicketkeeping for Bangladesh in 2015. So far, he has played the role of wicketkeeper in 39 out of 50 Tests.

Talking about this match, Bangladesh batted first and scored just 247 runs in front of Sri Lanka in the first innings. Shadman Islam, who was the top scorer, scored 46 runs. Litton (34), Mushfiqur (35), Mehdi (31) and Taizul (33) also could not convert a good start into a big innings. Asitha Fernando and Sonal Dinusha took three wickets each from Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka has scored 290/2 runs by the end of the second day’s play and took a lead of 43 runs. Nisanaka is unbeaten after scoring 146 runs, while Chandimal was dismissed at 93, with Litton caught a record catch. In bowling, Taijul Islam threw the maximum 32 overs but could take only one wicket.
