In today’s time, mobile and smartphones have become a big medium for entertainment. Whether watching movies, watching web series, watching news channels or watching live cricket matches is possible in a single click. But all these facilities require internet connection. You cannot do anything without internet. But now your tension is going to end soon. Now you will be able to watch live TV on mobile without internet through D2M i.e. Direct to Mobile.

In fact, recently, a feature phone was announced by smartphone maker company Lava and HMD to launch a feature phone. The special thing is that these feature phones of companies will be launched with direct to mobile service feature. Both companies have recently partnered with a service provider to facilitate satellite connectivity. Let us give you details information.

Let us tell you that on 1 May 2025 i.e. World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (Waves) 2025 is going to be held in Jio World Center in Mumbai. In this event, both Lava and HMD companies are going to launch a keypad phone with Direct to Mobile feature for their crores of customers. The special thing about these phones will be that even a low price phone will get access to live TV and OTT platform.

Let us tell you that D2M technology was developed by IIT Kanpur in the year 2022. After this achievement, Tejas Network along with IIT Kanpur gave the final touch to this technology. This service was also started in some parts of the country as a trial. If you do not know, then let us know that D2M technology is based on FM Radio and Direct-to-Home (DTH) technology.
