Loot of millions from ATM of State Bank of India, questions raised on not having CCTV

The robbery of lakhs has come to light last night at the ATM of State Bank of India (SBI) located in Talur Road in Ballari district of Karnataka. According to preliminary information, the robbers took advantage of not having CCTV cameras in the ATM. Police immediately reached the spot as soon as the robbery was reported. Fingerprint experts have started intensive investigation at the ATM site. However, the authorities have not yet clarified how much money has been stolen in the robbery.

Gang is active in the city, people in panic

It is being told that for the last one month, a vicious gang has been active in the city, which is involved in various theft and robbery incidents. This latest incident caused panic among the local residents. People say that not having CCTV cameras in major areas of the city is an open invitation for criminals. It has become very important to install CCTV cameras.

The people of the area have demanded from the administration that security measures should be strengthened as soon as possible and the arrangement of surveillance should be ensured at such places where criminals can easily commit the incident.

Police engaged in investigation, no arrest yet

At present, no arrests have been made in this case nor the stolen amount has been recovered. The police have intensified the investigation and are closely monitoring the activities of the potential gang and their movement.
