Ravi Shastri on WTC Final Venue: The discussion about the recently ended World Test Championship has not ended. Ravi Shastri, former head coach of the Indian cricket team, believes that the World Test Championship Finals can be transferred to a more capacity stadium like Melbourne Cricket Ground or Narendra Modi Stadium in future.

The way the popularity of this tournament is increasing, they believe that the decision to make it in a big place may be better, where the biggest number of spectators can come.

What did Ravi Shastri say on WTC final venue?

In a podcast in Wisden, Ravi Shastri said that “Ahmedabad is the best for the World Test Championship Final. It is a place where you can pull the crowd, because Lord’s Cricket Ground is not a stadium with one lakh seats. Initially if it is in Lord’s Cricket Ground, it is good. But I think Melbourne Cricket Ground World Test Championship may be a great place for the finals.

These are the two places suggested by Ravi Shastri where you can draw the crowd. Because Lord’s Cricket Ground is not a stadium with 1 lakh seats, no matter what the team is playing, you know that you will get a good crowd.

England hosting by 2031

According to media reports, these things were said by Ravi Shastri, especially when England is constantly hosting the World Test Championship final. In the last 6 years, three consecutive championships have been played in different stadiums of the country.

The first World Test Championship was held at Rose Bowl in Southampton, which included India and New Zealand. In the following finals, Australia won against India at the Oval and in the third time South Africa won the title by defeating Australia at Lord’s Cricket Ground. England are hosting till the final of the 2031 World Test Championship. India bid for the 2027 finals but the decision was in England’s favor.
