Uttar Pradesh News Desk: The brokers who are playing the game of shifting patients by luring the attendants from government hospitals and medical institutions of the city are not able to be controlled.
From the emergency room of Lohia Institute, the broker took the patient to a private hospital in Gomti Nagar by luring the attendants of getting cheaper and better treatment. There a bill of Rs 2 lakh was handed over in the name of treatment in three days. The attendants allege that when they asked to discharge the patient after seeing the huge bill, the patient was taken hostage. The attendants were barred from the hospital and asked to deposit the money as soon as possible.

Devmani Pathak, a resident of Bhagautiganj of Balrampur, was experiencing tremors. The doctors of the district hospital referred the patient to Lohia Institute. The attendant took the patient to Lohia’s emergency room four days ago. Meanwhile, a broker who arrived inside the emergency room trapped the attendants in his clutches by promising them cheaper and better treatment. It was told that complete treatment would be done for Rs 20-30 thousand. Then the patient was admitted to a private hospital located at Gomti Nagar Husdaria intersection. The patient’s brother Somu alleges that a bill of Rs 2 lakh was raised in four days. When he expressed his inability to pay the bill, he was taken out of the hospital and asked to take the patient after paying the bill. Now attendants are not able to even go to their patients admitted in private hospitals.
