Lucknow Municipal Corporation gets the honor of India Book of Records

Uttar Pradesh News Desk Municipal Corporation was awarded the honor of India Book of Records for running a continuous cleanliness campaign for 251 hours. Dinesh Pandey, representative of India Book of Records, handed over the certificate of honor to Mayor Pramila Pandey.

A 251-hour continuous cleanliness campaign was started at 4 pm. It concluded on 5th at Motijheel campus. During this period, 1580 sanitation workers cleaned 1000 km of roads. Cleaned 9500 km long drains and 5800 meter long green belt. Apart from this, 207 tonnes of garbage was disposed of by cleaning around 20 historical sites and ghats, 35 commercial places and 39 temples.

35 officers and sanitation workers honored: Municipal Corporation officials and sanitation workers played an important role in making the Akhand cleanliness campaign successful. 35 people were honored for their excellent contribution in cleanliness work. These include Additional Municipal Commissioners Avesh Khan and Jagdish Yadav, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Amit Singh Gaur, Dr. Ajay Shankhwar and Dr. Chandrashekhar besides depot incharge Rafjul Rehman.

Unbroken cleanliness campaign passed through these routes

In Zone No. 5, the Akhand Cleanliness Campaign reached Popular Dharamkanta via Chawla Square via Chawla Market, Durga Mandir via CTI Bridge, Fire Station, Vijay Nagar Square, Shanidev Temple Fazalganj. Zone 6 officials cleaned from Fazalganj to Mariampur Square, Swaraj Public School, JK Mandir, Padampat Singhania School till CocaCola Crossing. In zone four, the campaign ended at Municipal Corporation Motijheel premises via Coca Cola cheaper grocery store, Lakshmi Electronic Road, 80 Feet Road, Ashok Nagar intersection, Guru Gobind Singh gate.
