With this claw, Angidi’s record against Australia shone even more and he has now joined selected bowlers like Shane Bond and Trent Bolt.
South African star fast bowler Lungi Angidi made a panic in the second ODI played at McKay’s Great Barrier Reef Arena on Friday (August 22). The entire team of Australia could not stand even 38 overs in front of them and piled on 193 runs. Engidi overturned the match by putting a brilliant spell of 5/42 in 8.4 overs and became the player of the match.
The performance was special for Ngidi’s career, as this is his second paw against Australia. Now he has joined the list of veteran bowlers who have names like Shane Bond, Kartali Ambros and Trent Bolt. Lungi Ngidi has become the only fourth bowler to open the claw twice against Australia in the history of ODI cricket and he did it in only 11 matches.

Talking about batting in the match, South Africa scored 277 runs while playing first. Matthew Breetzke (88) and Triston Stabs (74) played brilliant innings. Breetzke scored a fourth consecutive half -century, while this was the second ODI fifty of Stabs’ career.
In response, Josh English (87 runs) fought for a while for the Australian team but the rest of the batsmen could not support him. Finally, the deadly bowling of Angidi collapsed everyone and South Africa won the match by 84 runs and won the series 2–0.
