‘Made in India’ locomotive will run on Africa’s tracks, 150 rail engine supplied to Guinea
India Indigenous train engines made in the African country will soon be seen running on the tracks of Guinea. Yes, Bharat will supply a total of 150 engines ie locomotives to Guinea. These engines will be made at the railway locomotive factory in Marhaura, Bihar. The Ministry of Railways gave this information on Monday. The Railway Ministry said that India will supply 150 engines worth more than Rs 3000 crore within the next 3 years. Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Railway Board Information and Publicity Department, said, “37 locomotives will be exported in the current financial year, while 82 locomotives will be exported in the next financial year. While the remaining 31 locomotives will be exported in the third year.”
Engine will be able to run easily with 100 coaches train
Dilip Kumar said that all these locomotives will be air conditioned. 2 Locomotives will simultaneously be able to pull trains with 100 coaches with maximum acceptable speed. The ministry said that 3 types of tracks- broad gauge, standard gauge and cape gauge have been laid in the Marhaura Factory Complex for the construction of these locomotives. Let us tell you that India has obtained this deal through global competitive bid. Dilip Kumar said, “These locomotive synchronized operations and better freight for freight are equipped with DPWCs (distributed power wireless control system). This Marhaura establishes factory as a global center for locomotive exports, which strengthens local employment and technical capacity.”
Indian engine will contribute to Guinea’s largest iron ore project
The ministry insisted that the export of locomotives would contribute to the construction of the infrastructure for Guinea’s largest iron ore project, which will deepen the India-Africa economic cooperation. Kumar said, “This is a great example of self -reliant India, which strengthens the global infrastructure through innovation and quality manufacturing in the Marhaura factory in Bihar, where 285 people are employed directly and 1215 people are getting employment indirectly.” “In addition, more than 2100 people across the country are working for joint ventures for services and other works,” he said.
