Maha Vikas Aghadi government will take oath in Maharashtra on November 26: Mahesh Tapase
Mumbai, November 21 (IANS). Responding to the exit polls in Jharkhand and Maharashtra, Nationalist Congress Party (SP) spokesperson Mahesh Tapase, claiming to form the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra, even fixed the date of swearing-in of the government even before the results came out.
Mahesh Taapsee said, “Even after the Lok Sabha elections, exit polls came. All the exit polls were showing BJP’s majority crossing 400. But Bharatiya Janata Party could not cross the 400 mark. This time too, the results are going to be opposite to what the exit polls are showing in Maharashtra. Maha Vikas Aghadi government will take oath in Maharashtra on 26th November. This thing is certain.”
Earlier, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey had also claimed to form the government of Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. He said, “In the exit polls, some are coming in favor of ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi’ and some are coming in favor of Mahayuti. We do not want to raise any question marks on the exit polls. But we have seen exit polls going wrong in Haryana. Before that, Congress was being shown majority everywhere in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, but Bharatiya Janata Party formed the government. Similarly, in the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party was being shown a huge majority figure, but it also did not get it. We leave it to the public whether to trust the exit polls or not, but Maha Vikas Aghadi government will be formed in Maharashtra.”
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande said, “Now many exit polls have started coming. There is doubt about whom to trust. Many times there is a huge difference between exit polls and actual figures. We saw what happened in Haryana. Before that saw Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The results at these places were contrary to the exit polls. It is a matter to be considered as to how much trust should be given to this. Mahayuti alliance will get 160-170 seats in Maharashtra.”
Current BJP MLA Prasad Lad said, “BJP will form the government in Maharashtra. Our focus was more on forming the government in the state than who would be the Chief Minister. Whoever will be the Chief Minister will work for this state and to take this state forward.” He said that this time the voting percentage has increased. Only Mahayuti will win in this election.
