This festival is dedicated to Goddess Gauri, which is a symbol of wealth, prosperity and power. In this three-day festival, the idol of Goddess Gauri is brought home (Gauri Awahana), she is worshiped on the second day (Gauri Pujan), and the idol is immersed on the third day (Gauri immersion).
1. Gauri Awahana:
On the first day, the idol of Goddess Gauri is installed in the houses, which is called Gauri Awahana.
2. Gauri Pujan:
Special worship is done on the second day. Sixteen types of vegetables, sweets, rice dishes and fruits are offered to the goddess.
3. Gauri immersion:
The idol of the Goddess is immersed on the third day.
