This powerful poster created panic on social media, especially when Sunny Deol herself shared it on her Instagram and also confirmed the film’s new release date. The fans have been excited to see this post and are sharing their reaction regarding the return of Major Kuldeep Singh.
Sunny Deol’s steely style showed in the poster
In the poster, Sunny Deol is seen holding a heavy bajuka i.e. cannon in the uniform of soldier. The face is angry with anger, the passion in the eyes and the scream of patriotism on the tongue, all of this fresh the old memories of the ‘border’. There is an atmosphere of firing and smoke in the background, while Indian soldiers stand holding the tricolor in their hands. Looking at this visual, it is clear that its inspiration is taken from the historical pictures of the 1999 Kargil war.

Repeated border release date
The first film was to be released on 23 January 2026, but now it will be brought to theaters on 22 January 2026. Keeping in mind the Republic Day weekend, the makers have taken this decision. While sharing the poster, Sunny Deol wrote, ‘Will fight for India… once again! Border 2 on January 22, 2026 in theaters. ‘ The background music associated with the post makes the color of patriotism even more deeply.

The film is being directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar and original ‘Border’ director JP Dutta. The film will feature Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahaan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh and Sonam Bajwa along with Sunny Deol. JP Dutta’s film ‘Border’, which came in 1997, is still in the heart of every Indian. The film, based on the 1971 Battle of Longewala, performed life -threatening actors like Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, Tabu, Rakhi and Pooja Bhatt. The film created a panic at the box office by earning ₹ 66 crore and became a benchmark for patriotic films.
