Method of making chili potato

  • First cut the potatoes into a french fries shape. Soak the chopped potatoes in cold water for 15-20 minutes. This will remove starch and potatoes will become more crisp. Remove it from the water and dry it well. Add dried potatoes in a large bowl. Add cornflor, maida, red chili powder and salt to it and mix well. You can coat a good coating on potatoes with light hands.

  • Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, fry the potato pieces until it becomes crisp. Frying them twice is better, it makes potatoes more crispy. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a separate pan. Add finely chopped garlic and ginger and fry for a few seconds. Now add chopped green chillies, onion cubes and capsicum and fry on high flame for 1-2 minutes. Vegetables have to be kept light crunchy. Add soy sauce, red chili sauce, tomato ketchup, mix well.

  • Dissolve 1 teaspoon of cornflor in 1/4 cup of water in a small bowl. Stir continuously by putting this solution in the sauce so that there is no lump. Cook the sauce until it becomes a little thick. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix Chile Potato: When the sauce thickens and the potatoes are completely fried and crisp, add the fried potatoes to the sauce and mix. Remove the hot chili potato in a plate.
