Make in India got global platform, Maurit Suzuki sent first E Vitara to 12 European countries
Maruti Suzuki India said on Monday that it started exporting its electric vehicle E-Vitara and more than 2,900 units were sent abroad last month. These units were sent from Pipavav Port in Gujarat to 12 European countries – UK, Germany, Norway, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Iceland, Austria and Belgium.

On August 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first e-Vitara from the company’s plant in Gujarat. This battery electric vehicle is specially made at the plant in Hansalpur in Maruti Suzuki.

“E-Vitara exports in Europe in Europe are actually a glorious and decisive moment for us,” the Managing Director (MD) of Maruti Suzuki India and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hisashi Takechi said.
