The fast of Teej is considered very sacred in Hinduism. This year this fast will be celebrated on 26 August. Married women keep this fast for their husbands. Sattu’s laddus are specially made during the fast of Teej. Let me tell you, Teej’s sattu is a sweet dessert which is specially made on Teej. It is given a laddus shape by mixing roasted gram flour, sugar and ghee and decorated with dry fruits. It is a popular dish that is designed for the happiness and prosperity of marital life.

Ingredients for Sattu Laddu:

500 grams of roasted gram, 250 grams ground sugar, 6-7 ground cardamom powder, a cup of cashew, almond, half cup desi ghee, yellow eating color, chopped fruits

Sattu’s method of making laddus:

To make Sattu laddus, first take 500 grams of roasted gram. Remove the gram peel well. Now grind the gram coarsely in the mixer jar. And filter with sieve. Now, grind a cup of cashew nuts and 250 grams ground sugar well in a mixer jar.

Now mix both these mixtures well in gram flour. After that add cardamom powder, yellow eating color and half a cup of ghee and mix well together. If laddus are breaking, you can add 1-2 teaspoons and ghee to it. Now take it in hand and tie the laddus in round shape. Your Teej laddus is ready.
