Mamta first appeared to the orphan, then pushed into the market of Jism, this person caught sight after years
Shagufta Rafiq.
The 2013 blockbuster film ‘Aashiqui 2’ made Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor an overnight star. Made in a budget of just 15 crores, this film collected a collection of Rs 109 crore worldwide. It was directed by Mohit Suri, who has also directed a film like ‘Saira’. Talk about ‘Aashiqui 2’, this film was produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Bhushan Kumar and Krishna Kumar, but the soul of this film was written by the person, who himself has seen life so closely that pain, love, breakdown and Jeejeevisha breathes in every word of them. We are talking about Shagufta Rafiq.
Shagufta started doing this work at a young age
Where Shagufta was born, who was his real mother, all this is still a mystery today. He was brought up by actress Anwari Begum by a single mother. Some people say that Shagufta was actually Anwari’s granddaughter and some say that Anwari adopted him by picking him up from the road. What was the truth, she may not even know even Shagufta herself. Poverty shook him since childhood. When the children go to school at the age of just 12, Shagufta started dancing for her mother in private parties. Those places used to be like brothels, where influential men used to come with their mistresses. She continued to dance till the age of 17 and then started a period that hardly anyone wanted to live, which was the world of sex works.

Shagufta was forced for money
Shagufta had told in an interview to Jio TV that she had started earning Rs 3000 per night. Bought a shrimp with that money, took gold bangles for the mother. But all these were found at one price, at the cost of the soul. Mother knew everything, but the compulsion of stomach hunger and treatment was greater than that thinking. For 10 years, Shagufta was a part of this world, then moved to Dubai on a advice, to become a bar dancer. Song, dance, men entertained there. Initially, she was afraid, but then one day a middle -aged man met. He rained money, also fell in love, got a wedding proposal … but luck was something else.
Mahesh Bhatt gave first opportunity
In 1999, the mother got cancer, Shagufta returned to India. Three years later, in 2002, he met Mahesh Bhatt. She said, ‘I want to write, because I have felt all that is true of many lives.’ He got the first opportunity in the year 2006, wrote some scenes of ‘Kalyug’ in Mohit Suri’s film. After this, from hit films like ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Raj 2’, ‘Murder 2’ and then ‘Aashiqui 2’, he showed that if the pain molds in the pen, then it becomes history.
