Mamta visits Murshidabad on 25th day of violence

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached Murshidabad on the 25th day of violence. He said that now the situation has become completely normal here. The CM announced compensation to the violence affected people.

Manata said that he had no information about the report sent by Governor CV Anand Bose to the Union Home Ministry (MHA).

Mamta said- violence was already a plan
Mamta Banerjee claimed that the Murshidabad violence was completely a plan and there is a conspiracy behind it. Taking a dig at the BJP, he said that Bengal will not tolerate those who provoke riots.

The Chief Minister also questioned the BSF and said that if there was no firing, then the violence would not have erupted the next day.

Mamta said that she will hold a district level review meeting in Bahrampur today. Tomorrow Dhulian will go. Here will compensate people affected by violence, whose houses and shops were burnt.

Bengal Governor sent report to Ministry of Home Affairs
West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose submitted a report to the Ministry of Home Affairs on the Murshidabad riots on Sunday. In this, fundamentalism and extremism were described as a major threat to West Bengal.

The governor said that Bengal is a double threat, which is especially more in Murshidabad and Malda districts adjacent to Bangladesh, as Hindu population here are minority. He also described North Dinajpur as a sensitive district.

Governor’s claim- Murshidabad violence was pre-made
The Bengal Governor claimed that the Murshidabad violence was already planned. The state government was already expecting danger as the violence erupted soon after the Waqf (Amendment) Act was released on 8 April and the state government shut down the internet on the same day.

He said that there was a huge shortage of coordination in maintaining law and order in the state. For this reason, the Center is recommended to find constitutional options to maintain law and order.

More than 100 FIR, 276 people arrested in violence case

The SIT of West Bengal Police arrested 16 people from Jharsuguda in Odisha on 21 April in the violence case. All of them were hiding by going to Jharsuguda.

Police arrested the mastermind of the violence, Ziaul Haq, including his two sons Safaul Haq and Bani Israel. They are accused of inciting violence.

West Bengal Police STF and SIT conducted a joint operation. Officials recovered CCTV footage and mobile tower records. They confirmed their presence on the crime scene.

Apart from this, the police arrested Kalu Nadar, Dildar, Inzamam -ul -Haq to Murarai and Jiaul Sheikh in the murder of Hargobindo Das and Chandan Das killed in violence. Police said that more than 100 FIRs related to Murshidabad violence have been registered. So far 276 people have been arrested in this.
