Mamta’s march on discrimination from Bengalis

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday took out a protest march against the alleged oppression of Bengali speaking people in BJP ruled states.
Mamta said that I am embarrassed and disappointed with the BJP’s attitude towards Bengalis. From now on, I have decided that I will speak more in Bangla. If you want to keep me in the detention camp then keep it.
The rally was taken out from Kolkata College Square to Dorina Crossing in Dharmatla. Many big leaders of the party including Abhishek Banerjee attended this rally.
Apart from Kolkata, the party also protested on the same issue in all the district headquarters of the state. This is happening at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit the state.
Mamta said- I will speak more and more Bangla from now
CM Mamta said, ‘I challenge you (BJP) to prove that Bangla -speaking migrant people are Rohingya Muslims. 22 lakh migrant workers of Bengal are working in other parts of the country, they have valid identity documents.
‘I will not tolerate atrocities on Bengalis. Bangla -speaking people in BJP ruled states are being tortured and sent to jail and detention camps as Bangladeshi and foreigners. Is Bengal not a part of the country?
‘The name of the Voter of Bengal is being cut in other states. BJP won elections in Maharashtra by doing so. Now it is doing this in Bihar. He accused the Election Commission of brokerage of the BJP.
Suvendu officer said- This is an attempt to save illegal infiltrators
After Mamta’s rally, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari said, ‘Bengali Asmita’ is just an attempt to save illegal intruders. When thousands of Bengali teachers were fired due to government scams, why did Mamta not listen to her voice?
The officer also alleged that Mamata Banerjee herself ignores the Bengali officers. He asked why senior officers Atri Bhattacharya and Subrata Gupta were not made the Chief Secretary? And why Bengali IPS Sanjay Mukhopadhyay was deprived of the post of DGP and appointed outside officer?
Mamta had said- NCR’s backdoor entry against Bangladeshis
The rally of Mamta is being linked to the incidents of detaining some illegal Bangladeshis in Odisha, launching a campaign against Bangladesh in Delhi and giving notice of Foreign Tribunal (Foreers Tribunal) to a Bengali farmer in Assam.
The assembly elections in West Bengal are a year later. Experts say that TMC wants to raise the issue of language dispute, Bengali identity in Bengal.
A few days ago, Mamta accused the Election Commission of acting like a puppet of BJP. He also feared that the amendment in the voter list is not trying to implement the NRC (National Register of Citizens) from the back door.
