Rain alert
Many states of India are raining heavily. Rainfall continues in many districts including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The Meteorological Department has issued an ‘Orange’ alert of heavy rain for two days in three districts of Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of extremely heavy rains in some areas of Kangra, Mandi and Sirmaur on Monday and Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur on Tuesday.
Water supply and electricity services disrupted
Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also released a ‘yellow alert’ of heavy rains in some of the 12 districts till Friday. According to the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), a total of 208 roads including 157 roads in the disaster affected Mandi district are closed for the movement of vehicles due to rain, while 745 water supply schemes and 139 power distribution transformers have been affected till Monday morning.
Loss of more than 770 crores
Himachal Pradesh has already lost more than Rs 770 crore in the current monsoon season. The SEOC reported that from the beginning of the monsoon on June 20, 98 people have died, with 57 deaths in rain -related incidents and 41 deaths occurred in road accidents and 178 were injured and 34 are missing. There have been 3 31 floods in the state, 22 times cloudburst and 18 times landslides.

Meanwhile, some parts of the state received light to moderate rainfall and Rajgarh in Sirmaur district received 72 mm of rain from Sunday evening, while 42.4 mm in Khadrala, 38 mm in Pachhad, 26.4 mm in Mandi, 22 in Bhuntar, 22.2 mm in Shilaru, 14.2 mm in Shilaru, 12.2 mm in Seobagh and 11.2 mm in Shimla and 10 in Rhodi.
