New Delhi, 8 November (Hindustan Reporter). After facing ups and downs throughout the day, the domestic stock market closed with a decline today. Today’s trading started with a slight gain. As soon as the market opened, a tussle started between the bulls and the bears, due to which the movement of the stock market also kept going up and down. After the entire day’s trading, Sensex closed with a weakness of 0.07 percent and Nifty with a weakness of 0.21 percent.

Today, during the day’s trading, there was buying in shares of IT, FMCG, consumer durable and tech sectors. On the other hand, there was selling pressure in shares of banking, oil and gas, public sector enterprise, realty, automobile, capital goods, health care and metal sectors. There was continuous selling pressure in the broader market today, due to which the BSE midcap index closed with a weakness of 1.18 percent. Similarly, the Smallcap index ended today’s trading with a decline of 1.52 percent.

Today, due to the weakness in the stock market, the wealth of stock market investors reduced by more than Rs 4.5 lakh crore. The market capitalization of BSE listed companies declined to Rs 443.92 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trading. Whereas on the last trading day i.e. Thursday, their market capitalization was Rs 448.45 lakh crore. In this way, investors suffered a loss of about Rs 4.53 lakh crore from today’s trading.

Today, there was active trading in 4,064 shares in BSE during the day’s trading. Of these, 1,396 shares closed with gains, while 2,573 shares closed with a decline, while 95 shares closed without any movement. There was active trading in 2,480 shares in NSE today. Of these, 718 shares closed in the green after earning profit and 1,762 shares closed in the red after incurring a loss. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 15 shares closed with gains and 15 shares closed with decline. Whereas out of 50 shares included in Nifty, 23 shares closed in the green mark and 27 shares closed in the red mark.

BSE Sensex today opened with a gain of 70.11 points at the level of 79,611.90 points. As soon as the trading started, due to selling pressure, this index fell by 424.42 points to the level of 79,117.37 points. Due to the start of buying after this fall, this index managed to recover about 690 points from the lower level and reach 79,807.26 points with a gain of 265.47 points. However, this strength also did not last long and selling started again in the market. After the entire day’s trading, the Sensex closed at 79,486.32 points with a weakness of 55.47 points.

Like Sensex, NSE’s Nifty started trading today at 24,207.70 points with a slight rise of 8.35 points. Due to selling pressure as soon as the market opened, this index fell by 132.70 points to 24,066.65 points. After this fall, buyers took charge and started buying aggressively, due to which the index managed to jump more than 200 points from the low level and reach 24,276.15 points with a rise of 76.80 points. After this, there was a continuous effort between buyers and sellers to dominate each other throughout the day in the market, due to which the movement of this index also kept fluctuating. After the day’s buying and selling, Nifty closed at 24,148.20 points with a weakness of 51.15 points.

After the day’s trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, Mahindra & Mahindra joined the list of today’s top 5 gainers with a gain of 2.89 percent, Titan Company by 2.10 percent, Tech Mahindra by 1.84 percent, Infosys by 1.49 percent and Nestle by 1.45 percent. On the other hand, Trent Limited fell by 3.18 per cent, Coal India by 2.60 per cent, Asian Paints by 2.58 per cent, Tata Steel by 2.24 per cent and Shriram Finance by 2.03 per cent to join the list of today’s top 5 losers.
