Martin luther king jr confidential files: The administration of US President Donald Trump has taken a big step. The Trump administration has made public about 2,30,000 pages of documents related to the murder of Martin Luther King Junior, a symbol of the Civil Rights Movement in the US. The move of the Trump administration was opposed by the King’s family. These documents were kept confidential under a court order since 1977 but now they have been published on the website of National Archives.
What did Tulsi Gabbard say?
Regarding this entire matter, American National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard said that the American people have waited for about 60 years to see the entire investigation related to the killing of King. Under the leadership of President Trump, we are ensuring complete transparency on this important and tragic event. Documents include records related to FBI monitoring, including King’s phone tapping, bugling in hotel rooms and using detectives to collect information against them.
Claims of Acrassion Marital Affair
According to Tulsi Gabbard, the documents highlight that the then FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s King and Civil Rights Movement were closely monitored. The claims are also of such a type that King had an Acra Marital Affair. Information about these affairs was made public due to the FBI. However, there was no relation between his murder and his affair. In the investigation so far, there is no information about any relationship between these two.

Trump administration told historical steps
Currently, the Trump administration has described it as a historic step towards transparency, but the King’s family and the southern Christian leadership conference have called it an attack on their privacy and heritage. His speech to Martin Luther King Junior in 1963 is known for ‘I have a Dream’. He was shot dead on 4 April 1968 at Memphis, Tennessee. James Earl Ray took responsibility for his murder in 1969, but later withdrew his statement and claimed to be innocent himself until his death. However, Ray later died in jail. King’s family and many others have long been questioned whether Earl Ray was alone or was it part of a big conspiracy.
What did the sons of the king say
King’s two living children Martin Luther King III and Bernis King said in a joint statement that they support transparency and historical accountability, but they feared that these documents may be misused to attack their father’s legacy. He said that we request those who see these files, they should do this with sympathy, restraint and respect for the grief of our family. The family believes that the FBI led by Hoover had offered aggressive and disturbing monitoring to discredit King and weaken the civil rights movement.
