Rasika is Duggal’s husband Mukul Chadha, not only a great actor but his journey is equally interesting and inspiring. Mukul has studied MBA from the country’s prestigious IIM Ahmedabad. After completing his studies, he also did a job with a large salary at a multinational bank in New York, but the mind was elsewhere. His inclination has always been towards theater and acting. While living in New York, Mukul took the theater training from Lee Strasburg Theater and Film Institute and continued to do part-time classes. There he took part in theater rehearsals and small shows on weekends. However, he never thought that he would make it his career.

Career became a coincidence of acting
One day he decided that he should do what he gets happiness. He quit his corporate job and returned to India. Their purpose was to take a break for some time and see which world of theater leads them, but the break gradually turned into a career. After returning to India, Mukul made deep engagement in the theater. Initially, he thought that he would try for a year or two and then take a decision. But along with the theater, he started working in advertisements and other small projects, and this is where he began to be identified.

In an interview to Times of India, Mukul said, ‘I was not satisfied with what I was doing. The theater has always been a passion for me. After coming to India, when I did some work and started my livelihood from them, I realized that I can now adopt this path completely. This journey started by mistake has now become my profession. Mukul Chadha has worked in films and series like ‘Main Aur Ek Tu’, ‘I Me Aur Main’, ‘Gurgaon’, ‘Satyagraha’, ‘Sherni’ and ‘Sunflower’, but he got the real identity in the Indian adaptation of ‘The Office’ where he played the role of Jagdeep Chadha. The character appreciated him a lot from the audience and he became popular among the OTT audience.
Love, with and partnership
He then played the role of Dr. Ahuja in Sunflower, which saw a unique balance of his humor and seriousness. Mukul and Rasika met during the theater and both of them got married in 2010 after dating for three years. The two artists together have established themselves in their own career and also supported each other. Today Mukul Chadha and Rasika Duggal are counted among the Bollywood couples where love and professional honors go together.
