MCD Standing Committee approves infra project in Delhi, stuck for two years
The Standing Committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) approved several important infrastructure and sanitation projects on Wednesday last Wednesday. This approval was not available due to delay in formation of the standing committee for more than two years. According to the news of the Economic Times, the projects that have been approved, the construction of the Injsta Plant (Dung Processing Unit) at Ghazipur Slotterhouse, multilevel automated puzzle parking for 188 vehicles at Bharat Darshan Park, four lakh strings and parks of parks in four lakh strings and parks in parks and parks in park LED Lights at 188 vehicles at Bharat Darshan Park, four million strings and parks in parks. High-tech parking at Bharat Darshan Park

According to Standing Committee Chairman Satya Sharma, this parking system, equipped with advance technology, will prove to be a big relief for tourists and will help in traffic control. According to the information, the agency formed by them will also take responsibility for establishment, testing, operation and maintenance for 10 years.
Dung processing plant approved
In 2022, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) had canceled the Ghazipur Slotterhouse’s operational permission, saying it is violating the NGT’s order and environmental standards. On 6 July 2022, on the instructions of the NGT, it was approved to reopen it with time -bound terms, which required the installation of the Injsta and RO plant. The RO plant has already been set up on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The MCD had set up the agency last year for the Injsta plant, but due to a cost of about ₹ 36 crore, it required the approval of the Standing Committee.
₹ 1,144 crore LED street light project
The committee also approved the proposal for changing about four lakh LED streets and park lights in a phased manner in the central, southern, western and Najafgarh zones of Delhi and their operation and maintenance for 10 years. The project had earlier received administrative and financial approval at the MCD House, but the last approval of the committee was necessary to finalize the rate and agency.
