Meerut Metro: NCRTC (National Capital Region Transport Corporation), which operates the country’s first rapid train Namo India, is also working on the Meerut Metro Project. NCRTC successfully tried the Namo Bharat train on the entire corridor from Sarai Kale Khan station in Delhi to Modipuram station in Meerut. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation showed the tax through its project, which had never happened in India before. NCRTC will use Namo India’s infra for the operation of Meerut Metro. Yes, Meerut Metro will run on the same tracks, on which Namo Bharat Rapid trains will run.

13 stations will be in the first phase of Meerut Metro

Namo Bharat Rapid Train is currently running from New Ashok Nagar in Delhi to Meerut South. The Namo Bharat train will soon start the journey from Sarai Kale Khan to Modipuram. Let us tell you that this entire corridor of Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Rapid train will start from Jungpura in Delhi and end in Modipuram. NCRTC will use Namo India’s infra to operate Meerut Metro. Meerut Metro will run between Meerut South to Modipuram in its first phase. There will be a total of 13 stations on this metro corridor, about 23.60 km long. These stations include Meerut South, Paratapur, Rithani, Shatabdi Nagar, Brahmapuri, Meerut Central, Bhaisali, Begumpul, MES Colony, Daurli, Meerut North, Modipuram and Modipuram depots.

Meerut Metro will come to these 4 stations of Namo India

In its 23.60 km long journey, Meerut Metro, Namo will use 4 stations of India- Meerut South, Shatabdi Nagar, Begumpul and Modipuram and will take off the ride here and take the ride from here. At these 4 stations, the passengers of Namo India will be able to interchange for Meerut Metro and the passengers of Meerut Metro will be able to interchange for Namo India. For this, NCRTC is making separate arrangements for both trains at these 4 stations. Different platforms are being prepared for Namo India and Meerut Metro at these stations. NCRTC has recently completed the journey trial of Namo India and Meerut Metro on the same track.
