Meeting between DGCA and Air India officials today, discussion on these issues

In this meeting, 7 issues related to Air India and Air India Express were discussed. Apart from this, DGCA has also issued instructions in view of the increasing tension between Iran and Israel. The DGCA has asked all flight operators to use alternative routes. In fact, Iran has shut down its aircraft due to increasing tension between Iran and Israel.
Negotiations on these 7 points
1. Delay related to maintenance:
In this meeting, the delay of flights due to the maintenance of the aircraft took place and DGCA has asked to reduce the delay as soon as possible.
2. Aerpace Ban:
The meeting discussed the existing aerspace sanctions and the effects on their flight operations.
3. B787 Fleet Monitoring:
No major security related to Air India’s Boeing 787 fleet was revealed. The maintenance process associated with aircraft and aircraft has been found to suit existing security standards.
4. B787-8/9 Fleet’s status of “Enhanced Safety Inspection” (dated 17 June 2025, till 3:00 pm):
In this meeting, the DGCA inquired about the current status of special security check on the fleet.
5. Passenger Information and Facility:

DGCA has inquired about recent operating data related to Air India’s Wide-Body flights, especially Boeing 787 fleet.
