In a meeting in Shanghai, representatives of both sides appeared in a picture smiling with Chinese Deputy Minister Sun Vedong. A statement by China’s Foreign Ministry said, “Cambodia and Thailand appreciated China for a positive role in reiterating their commitment to the ceasefire consensus before China and reducing stress.” According to the statement, China said that this informal meeting is its “latest diplomatic effort” and he is playing a creative role in solving their border dispute “.

How the struggle started
