Beijing, November 19 (IANS). China Media Group (CMG) and Brazil’s flag carrier Media Group concluded a memorandum of cooperation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on November 18. Both sides agreed to cooperate in program production, use of new technology and exchange of personnel.
Shan Haixiong, Director General of CMG, and Joao Carlos Saad, President of Flagship Media Group, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on behalf of both parties.
On this occasion, Shan Haixiong said that as an important partner of CMG, Brazil’s flag carrier media group has closely cooperated with CMG. The 19th summit of G20 was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. On this occasion, CMG and Flagship Media Group signed a memorandum of cooperation. CMG hopes to strengthen comprehensive cooperation with the flag-carrying media group and make media contributions to the development of China-Brazil relations.
At the same time, Saad said that in recent years, remarkable achievements have been made in the cooperation between the flag carrier media group and CMG. Through CMG’s programs, Latin American people got an opportunity to understand China. The flag carrier wants to strengthen cooperation with media group CMG, in order to increase cultural exchange between Brazil and China.
