There will be heavy rains in monsoon season
New Delhi: According to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, there will be more rain than normal this year. The Meteorological Department said on Tuesday that the rainfall in India is expected to be 106 percent higher than the average. This estimate is higher than the forecast in April. The long -term average rainfall in India is 868.6 mm. The Meteorological Department said that during the monsoon season (June to September), the entire country is expected to receive more than normal rainfall.
It will rain more than normal
The Meteorological Department said that during June to September 2025, most parts of the country are expected to receive more than normal rainfall except for some areas of northwest and eastern India and many areas of Northeast India. The IMD will release the July rainfall in the last week of June.
Temperature is reaching these states in 2-3 days
The south-west monsoon knocked in Kerala on 24 May a week ago. The normal beginning date of the south-west monsoon is 1 June. Monsoon can reach Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and parts of Odisha during the next 2-3 days. Along with this, meteorological conditions are favorable for moving the southwest monsoon in the remaining parts of the northeastern states and parts of West Bengal and Sikkim.
Farmers will benefit from rain
Explain that during the last five years, the monsoon has come early in two occasions- 2022 and 2024. According to IMD data, the monsoon started on 29 May and 30 May in 2022 and 2024. More monsoon rains help farmers to sow more crops in this kharif season, which is good for the overall agricultural sector. Agriculture is the main source of livelihood of millions of Indians.
