Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj came out in an open truck to celebrate Chhath festival, Ghats in Noida also decorated with flowers
New Delhi, November 7 (IANS). Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has left to celebrate Chhath festival. Along with the devotees, he is going to celebrate Chhath Puja in Millennium Park in an open truck. Along with this, grand celebrations of Chhath Puja have been organized at many places in Noida.
The largest venue in Noida has been built in Noida Stadium. Extensive arrangements have been made here for the devotees coming to celebrate Chhath Puja. Chhath Ghat has been decorated with flowers and tight security arrangements have been made. Today in the festival of Chhath, the setting sun is worshiped by offering Arghya. For this, a large number of devotees have started reaching the ghats built at various places.
The Delhi government, on its part, has prepared about 1000 artificial ghats across Delhi. Extensive arrangements have been made here for the people celebrating Chhath festival. Along with this, arrangements have been made at many places in Noida also. Where a large number of police forces have been deployed for security and all places are being monitored through CCTV. Chhath Ghat has been decorated with flowers for those who celebrate Chhath festival. After offering Arghya to the setting sun today, the devotees will complete their fast by offering Arghya to the rising sun tomorrow morning.
Chhath Mahaparva is celebrated the most in Purvanchal and there is a lot of enthusiasm and joy among the Purvanchalis regarding this festival. To celebrate the festival, devotees complete their fast by remaining without water for about 36 hours.
