New Delhi: In a press conference organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, India’s relations with the US and Russia were openly spoken. Rejecting US President Donald Trump’s sharp criticism against India, Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that partnerships between the two countries have faced many changes and challenges. This comment of the Ministry of External Affairs came a day after Trump’s 25 percent tariff on India and the Indian economy “dead”.

Our relationship with Russia Time Test

On the other hand, the US spokesperson on the existence of America about India buying oil from Russia said that “our relations with any country are based on its qualifications and they should not be seen from the glasses of a third country. As far as India-Russia relations are concerned, our partnership is stable and tested.”

Relations with America are getting stronger

In his weekly media briefing, Randhir Jaiswal said that on relations between India and America, we have strong defense relations with the US which have been getting stronger for the last several years. He said, “This partnership has faced many changes and challenges. India and America share a comprehensive global strategic partnership based on shared interests, democratic values and strong-minded relations.”

He said that we are confident that our relations with America will continue to move forward. We are focusing on the solid agenda for which India and the US are committed. On the purchase of Russia oil by India, Jaiswal said that it is inspired by national interest. He said, “In meeting our energy needs, we are guided by things available in the market and current global conditions.”
